Pavillon Inukshuk

The only establishment set on the shores of Ungava Bay, Inukshuk Lodge stands at Black Point (Qirnituajuit) in Nunavik, northern Quebec. This Arctic camp gives access to world-class fly fishing for Arctic char, sea trout, Atlantic salmon and wild brook trout, on Ungava Bay and the Lagrèvé, Tunulic and Marcol rivers. The camp has three private cabins (3 to 4 people, full bathroom) and a main lodge with kitchen and dining room; power comes from a diesel generator and a satellite phone provides safety cover. Departures welcome 8 anglers, accompanied at all times by experienced guides (one guide for every two anglers) aboard 24-foot freighters equipped with sonar and GPS. Amid some of the strongest tides in the world, you'll cross paths with icebergs, whales, seals, seabirds and, at times, the polar bear, on the land of the Inuit. Committed to preserving this exceptional fishery, the lodge strongly encourages catch-and-release (barbless single hooks): Arctic char may be kept (2 per guest), while Atlantic salmon and sea trout are released. Hiking, trekking and nature photography round out the adventure.
