About

Reachable only by seaplane, Pourvoirie du Lac Holt spreads across 75 km² of exclusive territory in the heart of Quebec's Lower North Shore, northeast of Havre-Saint-Pierre. Three interconnected lakes — Watshishou, Big Holt and Little Holt — linked by rapids, waterfalls and deep pools, hold landlocked salmon and brook trout; it is one of the first lodges in Quebec to designate fly-fishing and catch-and-release-only zones. The territory also offers moose hunting in the boreal forest, with a rustic, fully self-sufficient lakeside camp, as well as black bear hunting. Lodging includes a main lodge (sleeps up to 4) and comfortable chalets (2 to 4 people), all lakeside and fully equipped (kitchen, hot water and showers, wood stove, spring water, internet and satellite phone), with American and European plans. The outfitter voluntarily limits the number of visitors to preserve the experience: a stay that feels less like a trip and more like a true expedition.
