About

On the shore of Lac Faillon, in the Abitibi region near Senneterre, Pourvoirie du Lac Faillon is a family destination famous for its long fine-sand beach, one of the finest in Quebec. Founded in the 1970s and fully rebuilt in 1992, it operates year-round and welcomes vacationers as well as snowmobilers in winter. Lodging comes in three forms: 8 standard rooms at the inn, 11 lakeside chalets (2 to 12 people, rented weekly Saturday to Saturday in July and August and by the weekend in June and September) and an unserviced campground of more than 40 sites for trailers, campers or tents. On site: plentiful fishing (walleye, pike, sturgeon), fishing initiation, boat rental, kayak, paddle board, playground, beach volleyball and a 5 km hiking trail leading to a waterfall. For hunting, the outfitter offers black bear hunting (baited sites, paired with fishing) and small-game hunting (ruffed grouse, snowshoe hare, spruce grouse). A family project of Patrick Deschênes and Mélany Bisson.
