Pourvoirie DE LA Seigneurie DU Lac Métis

About
Pourvoirie de la Seigneurie du Lac Métis is one of the largest outfitters in Eastern Quebec, in the heart of the Bas-Saint-Laurent. The territory, whose history goes back to the Seigneurie granted in 1693 and later acquired by the Price brothers in 1876, is today managed by the forestry company Solifor. Moose is the headline species, with a density of more than 23 moose per 10 km² (up to 30 in certain sectors), hunted on exclusive sectors leased by the stay; you can also hunt white-tailed deer, black bear (very abundant) and small game (ruffed grouse, snowshoe hare, spruce grouse, American woodcock). On the fishing side, the great Lac Métis is home to one of the most productive lake trout ("grey trout") populations south of the Saint-Laurent, brook trout ("speckled trout") is found in the lake and in many of the territory's waters, and the rivière Métis offers a quota-limited salmon pool. Lodging includes 8 chalets (2 to 8 people depending on the unit) on the shore of Lac Métis and 2 outfitted camps (6 to 12 people, groups up to 24), all equipped (kitchen, BBQ). The outfitter also offers vacation stays and camping, and a renowned blood-tracking dog service (Dachshund) for recovering big game.
