In the heart of the La Vérendrye Wildlife Reserve, Pourvoirie Cabonga sits on the Cabonga Reservoir, known for both the quantity and the quality of its fish: good-sized walleye, pike and lake trout are commonplace here. The outfitter offers 21 clean, fully equipped cabins sleeping 2 to 12 people, plus a residence for up to 24 (electric/oil/propane heat, propane stove, fridge, indoor shower and toilet, hot water, gas BBQ and outdoor campfire setup). On site: 14-foot fiberglass boats with easy-to-run 20 HP 4-stroke motors, a boat launch ramp, docks that can accommodate floatplanes, a fuel station at the dock, a fish-dressing shelter and a service counter (bait, fishing tackle, bathymetric map, ice). Electricity is supplied 24/7 by generator. European plan (self-catered): you bring your own food and fishing gear. Pets welcome (fees apply).
