About

Le Domaine Orégnac is a family-run outfitter on the Côte-Nord specializing in hunting, fishing and cabin getaways, with on-site lodging. With more than 30 years of history, the business was taken over four years ago by new management committed to the responsible use of the resource. Moose hunting is the flagship offering, on zones of roughly 30 km² reserved for groups of up to four hunters, with success comparable to the Quebec average; the season starts the Saturday after September 15, in six-night stays. It also offers bear hunting from baited stands (with a guide), small-game hunting in late October, and summer fishing. Five cabins are available — Chalet no 1, no 2, no 3, Chalet du plongeur and Chalet de la rivière — on the European plan, fully equipped to feel like home.

Detailed rates
3 nights or fewer$105
4 and 5 nights$95
6 nights or more$85
Good to know

Per person / per night (table header 'Prix (nuitée/personne)' on /services-7). Read from the table: 3 nights or fewer — $105; 4 and 5 nights — $95; 6 nights or more — $85 (person count N/A). The season runs toward late October, after the moose hunt; short window with high success. Specific species not detailed on the site.

Detailed rates
4 nights — 1 hunter$1,650
Good to know

$1650 for 4 nights / 1 hunter, read from the rate table on /services-7. The table header reads 'Prix (nuitée/personne)', but at $1650 this is almost certainly the total package per hunter for the 4 nights (not a per-night rate) — interpreted as a per-person price; to be confirmed with the operator. Baited stand hunt; a guide takes hunters to the site; hunting mostly late in the day; a 4-night stay is recommended for guaranteed success.

Detailed rates
6 nights — group of 4 hunters$4,500
Good to know

$4500 for 6 nights / group of 4 hunters, read from the table on /services-7. The table header reads 'Prix (nuitée/personne)', but at $4500 this is the group's total package for the 6 nights (a per-night/person rate would make no sense) — recorded as a per-group price; to be confirmed with the operator. The 'big seller': annual success comparable to the Quebec average. Hunting zones of about 30 km²; groups of up to 4 hunters; season starts the Saturday after September 15, lasting 6 nights per group.
