About

Ten Mile Lodge (Pourvoirie du Lac Dix Milles) sits deep in the forest of the Outaouais, on Ten Mile Lake — one of the best lake-trout (grey trout) lakes in Quebec. You fish lake trout and northern pike on Ten Mile Lake, and northern pike plus the famous blue walleye on nearby Lac Dumoine, a 15-minute drive away; a number of additional small lakes round out the options for the adventurous angler. The lodge has four main cabins — from a 2-person cabin up to a 15-person cabin — all with modern comforts (hydro, running hot and potable water, air-conditioning and wood stove, full kitchen, indoor toilets and showers), plus four outpost camps on Lac Dumoine (6 to 12 people) with gravity-fed lake water, solar lighting, iceboxes restocked every morning, screened-in porches and a fish-cleaning station. A 16 ft boat comes at no charge and outboard motors are available for rent. The fishing season runs from the May opening to mid-October. In September and October the lodge offers moose hunting (one bull per group) on territories laced with trails and stands, with a walk-in cold room on site. A family-run lodge since 1992, it welcomes hunters and anglers who return year after year.
