About

Pourvoirie du Lac Cyprès is a human-scale outfitter on the Côte-Nord (Manicouagan), holding exclusive rights over 53.5 km² dotted with 43 lakes. It is known for indigenous brook-trout fishing on 12 lakes in operation — one party per lake, moving to a new lake each day — across a territory that has always seen very low fishing pressure; a trophy-trout lake is also in operation, and catch-and-release salmon fishing is being trialled on Frigon brook. For hunting, four exclusive territories of about 10 km² each host bear and moose hunts on the European plan, over baited sites. Lodging is in 4 comfortable chalets (three for 4 people and one for 5 to 12), for a maximum of 24 guests at a time. A quiet outfitter powered by renewable energy, it is rounded out with nature activities such as canoeing, kayaking, beaches and mountain biking, including a 4 km canoe or kayak loop on the Godbout river.
