Kenauk Nature

About
Kenauk Nature is one of the largest and oldest private fish and game reserves in North America: a 65,000-acre private estate (about 263 km²) in Montebello, in the Outaouais, established in the 19th century to conserve and protect the wildlife habitat, where a team of biologists keeps nature in balance. It rents eco-responsible, off-grid luxury chalets, each on its own private lake, from an intimate studio to sprawling chalets that sleep around twenty, plus ready-to-camp units and a glamping yurt. Fishing is the heart of the experience: rainbow and speckled trout stocked on exclusive private lakes, lake trout and bass on Lake Papineau (14 km²), and catch-and-release bass and pike on the Kinonge River and Whitefish and Maholey lakes — by the day, guided, or included with a chalet stay (boat, canoe and kayak included). Guided moose and white-tailed deer hunts are managed under a habitat plan set with the Quebec government. Five-star service and four-season activities: hiking, canoe-kayak, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, wildlife watching and much more.
