Domaine du Lac des Coeurs

Set on the Innu territory of Essipit on Quebec's Côte-Nord, Pourvoirie du Domaine du Lac des Cœurs is a paradise for sport-fishing enthusiasts. Its eight 4-star chalets offer first-rate comfort and sweeping lake views. Indigenous speckled trout (brook trout) fishing is excellent in the domain's fifteen lakes all season long. You can fish Lac des Cœurs itself — the headwater lake of the Escoumins river — along with the streams, falls and deep waters, by fly, from a boat, off the dock or wading. The domain also offers moose hunting on an exclusive-rights territory, spread across two weeks in the fall. The European-plan chalets are fully equipped (propane stove and fridge, wood stove, running hot water, indoor shower and toilet, an on-site fish smokehouse) and open onto a wealth of outdoor activities: swimming, pedal boats, kayaking, biking and ATV, wild-berry picking and campfires. Pets accepted.
