Domaine de la Baie au Sable is a 4-season chalet-rental and campground on the shore of the Baskatong reservoir, in the Hautes-Laurentides near Mont-Laurier (about 10 km from Route 117). It rents 5 cozy, fully equipped chalets (4 with two double beds and one single, 1 with two queen beds), each waterfront with a private dock, wood stove, air conditioning, fibre-optic internet, propane BBQ, gazebo and fire pit; canoes and kayaks included. The campground (new in 2021) has 24 full-service sites (sewer, water, 30-amp electricity), with showers, toilets and some sites with a water view. The property has a marina with a launch ramp reserved for guests. All around: fishing on the Baskatong reservoir (walleye, sturgeon, pike, whitefish, lake trout, brook trout — a Quebec licence and a Baskatong access permit are required), swimming, and 1,800 km of ATV and snowmobile trails leading to Montagne du Diable (provincial trails 3, 53 and 63), plus cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledding and ice fishing in winter.
