Les Chalets Gouin is a must-visit fishing destination at the heart of the Gouin reservoir, in the Mauricie region (Haut-Saint-Maurice sector, near Parent). For more than 25 years, anglers from Quebec, Ontario and the United States have come here for walleye and northern pike fishing, on a body of water renowned for its spawning grounds, sand beaches and the Gouin dam. The outfitter has 8 fully equipped fishing cabins — including two deluxe cabins with showers and stoves inside — plus 5 houseboats (floating cabins) sleeping 4 to 8 people, a lodging type unique to northern Mauricie, fitted with a solar fridge, GPS, bathymetric chart, kitchen, hot-water shower and toilet. Packages include rental of boats and recent motors along with the reservoir's fishing rights. An expert walleye-fishing guide service is available. Free on-site WiFi. Access : By road

Road access via forest roads, Haut-Saint-Maurice sector (Gouin reservoir, near Parent). From Mont-Laurier: Route 309 to Mont-Saint-Michel, then forest road to Parent, then follow the signs to the outfitter (KM 52). From La Tuque: via Route 25 (recommended) or Route 10. The site has no civic address; 228 Laflamme, Lac Poulin is the office mailing address, not the outfitter's location.
