In the heart of the Chaudière-Appalaches, Domaine Lac des Cèdres pairs the quiet of a stay in the woods with amenities close at hand. Day fishing for brook trout — fish of 9 to 11 inches and up — runs from 24 April to 13 September, boat included, electric motor only (available for rent on site) and no reservation required. Eight chalets sleeping two to six people line the shore of Lac des Cèdres: electricity, hot water, bathroom with shower, fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker, dishes and cookware. A campfire, camping, picnic areas and a walking trail with bird interpretation round out the stay, and a range of services — restaurants, grocery stores, a bike path, a water park, golf, horseback riding — sit within twenty minutes. Members get a discount on day fishing, priority for chalet reservations and promotional nights. A welcome kept up since 1969.
