Bushland Adventures runs a fly-in-only fishing outpost on Lac Evans (Lake Evans) in the James Bay Territory of northern Quebec, in the Broadback and Rupert River basins. The private camp (sleeps 8, one party per week) delivers total seclusion and world-class multi-species fishing: trophy Northern Pike (a record 49-inch, 38.3-lb Silver Pike was caught and released here), Walleye, Lake Sturgeon and Burbot. A strict single-hook catch-and-release policy, in place since the earliest days of operation on Lac Evans, protects the fishery; Walleye may be kept for camp meals within conservative take-home limits. The all-inclusive package covers round-trip float plane transport from the Kilo 237 Hydro-Base, 16 ft. Lund boats with four-stroke Yamaha motors and Humminbird fish finders, a solar-powered electrified cabin, a full kitchen, hot shower, StarLink WiFi and unlimited fuel. The season runs from June 1 to the first week of September. Owner and founder Jim Saari pioneered professional sport fishing on Lac Evans in the early 1980s and has managed the exclusive outfitting rights since 2008.

Combined weight limits (people + gear) per party are enforced for safety: 1,650 lb (group of 4), 2,400 lb (group of 6), 3,200 lb (group of 8). Flights follow a fixed schedule (farthest camp to nearest) and will not depart in poor weather; no refunds for weather-caused delays.
