About

Air Tamarac is a family-run fly-in fishing and hunting outfitter, in operation for more than 55 years (founded in 1968 in Clova). Reachable only by air, its three outfitting camps span five large wilderness territories: Pourvoirie Lac Hébert (including Lac Charlotte) in the southern Eeyou Istchee Baie-James, Pourvoirie Lac Sauterelle in Haute-Mauricie, and Pourvoirie au Réservoir Gouin (including Lac Angèle). Lac Hébert, an exclusive lease reached by a 45-minute flight from the Clova base, is renowned as a true 'walleye factory' thanks to a management approach focused on releasing spawners. You fish for walleye and northern pike on Réservoir Gouin, Lac Hébert, Lac Charlotte and Lac Angèle, and for brook trout on Lac Sauterelle. The outfitter also offers quality moose hunting on exclusive territories. Lodging is in 24 comfortable, fully equipped cabins (full kitchen, running water, hot shower, solar power) spread across the three camps. The all-inclusive packages include round-trip floatplane transport, a boat with unlimited gas and the gear, departing from the Clova and Sainte-Anne-du-Lac bases. Air Tamarac also runs a floatplane charter (air taxi) service throughout Québec.

Floatplane access only. Departure bases: Clova (Haute-Mauricie) and Sainte-Anne-du-Lac. Lac Hébert is a 45-minute flight from the Clova base. Baggage limit of 110 lb per person from Clova (excess billed $0.75 to $1.65/lb depending on destination); from Ste-Anne-du-Lac, 1,200 lb for the Beaver / 600 lb for the Cessna, excess assessed case by case. Package rates vary by departure base (Clova or Ste-Anne-du-Lac).
