About

On the shore of the Baskatong reservoir, on wind-sheltered Philomène Bay right next to the walleye spawning grounds, Pourvoirie Tawanipi welcomes anglers, hunters and families from May 15 to October 12. The Baskatong's waters teem with yellow and black walleye, yellow perch, northern pike, whitefish, landlocked salmon and sturgeon. For hunting (Zone 11 East, non-exclusive territory), the season suits small game and bow hunting for white-tailed deer. Lodging is in nine lakeside cabins for 2 to 10 people, fully equipped (full kitchen, potable water, wood stove, shower, BBQ, outdoor fire pit and free fibre Wi-Fi), rounded out by trailer rentals and a shaded campground (from wild sites to 2-3 service hookups). A marina offers rentals of boats, pontoons, canoes and kayaks, dock slips and a launch. All around: ATV (trail 33) and snowmobile (trail 322) trails, canoe outings on the bay, and berry- and mushroom-picking.
