About

Pourvoirie Nabisipi UenapeuHipu is an Atlantic salmon fishing camp set at the mouth of the Nabisipi River, where its fresh waters meet the Gulf of St. Lawrence, on Innu territory along Quebec's North Shore. Fishing is on 10 or 12 exclusive pools of the river in search of Atlantic salmon, offered as an all-inclusive American plan: lodging, meals and a guide for the entire length of the stay. Guests stay in a three-bedroom cottage (two single beds per room) with a wood-stove living room, a full bathroom, drinking water from an artesian well and daily housekeeping. At the table, a chef and assistant serve à la carte breakfasts and three-to-four-service lunches and dinners showcasing Gulf seafood in season — lobster, snow crab, cod, shrimp and scallops. The team encourages live release of salmon and the use of single barbless hooks to protect the river's salmon population. The season runs from July 1 to August 15.

Good to know

$3,600 + taxes for a group of 6 anglers (read on the Calendar & Reservation page, /en/book/ and /fr/reservations/). All-inclusive American plan: lodging, meals and a guide for the entire length of the stay. The group leases the river and buys exclusive fishing rights for 10 or 12 pools (varies with precipitation). The operator presents this as 'one of the lowest daily rates in Québec' for an American plan. For a group of fewer than 6, you contact the team to settle on an arrangement. The page does not state the exact stay length (days/nights). Season: July 1 to August 15 (vintage 2021–2022 dates shown on the site, not refreshed).
