About

Pourvoirie Lac la Truite spreads across 438 km² of structured, exclusive-rights wildlife territory in Témiscamingue (zone 13), at Belleterre, bordered to the east by the La Vérendrye wildlife reserve and to the south by zec Kipawa. Renowned for its quality fishing — walleye, lake trout (touladi) and northern pike, often trophy-sized — on lakes La Truite, Winnawiash, Bay and Hoff, it owes its reputation to a client-limiting management approach applied for more than 40 years. The territory is also a moose kingdom: a herd estimated at more than 188 animals, one of the best success rates in Quebec, a quota among the highest granted to an exclusive-rights outfitter, and one moose per two hunters. Black bear hunting is also offered over a large area of about 1,000 km² baited professionally, in agreement with the neighbouring zec Kipawa. Lodging is at Auberge Lac la Truite (American plan, meals included) or in cabins and camps spread across the territory (European plan), some offering exclusive use of their lake. The outfitter also offers Quad (ATV) packages combining trail riding and fishing on restricted-access lakes.
