Pourvoirie Lac des Îles - Conseil des Innus de Betsiamites

Pourvoirie Lac des Îles, on Quebec's Côte-Nord about 42 km from Baie-Comeau, is owned by the Conseil des Innus de Pessamit. Established in 1960 — once a private club founded by the Chicago Tribune company — it is easily reached by road (Chemin Toulnoustouc). The offering centres on fishing and cabin lodging: Camp St-Pierre (European plan), a cabin set apart from the inn with 3 double-occupancy bedrooms, a full kitchen, living room, bathroom and 3 motorboats; and the more rustic Chalet de la Dam, with a propane wood stove and fridge and 2 bunk-bed bedrooms. Day fishing is available, guided (maximum 3 people) or unguided, with the option to rent a boat with an electric motor.
