Nestled in the Charlevoix region, Pourvoirie Baie-Sainte-Catherine has been cultivating a balance between comfort and simplicity for more than 40 years. Its 4.5 km² territory holds 5 exclusive-rights lakes — Lac Malbaie, Lac des Irlandais, Lac de la Chicane, Lac Saint-Firmin and the small Lac Antoine — plus a freshwater pond and a river whose Rivière aux Canards falls are the most popular attraction. Splake and brook trout fishing takes place on regularly stocked lakes, in sturdy aluminum boats, on waters reserved for electric motors, calm and peaceful; splake over 5 pounds are not unusual. The 6 fully equipped cabins are all on the waterfront with a private dock, outdoor fire pit and parking, powered by solar energy. The outfitter also offers moose hunting (zone 27-East, with exclusive use of the whole territory by a single party, tree stands, enclosed blinds and maintained salt licks) and, since 2021, bear hunting over baited sites, as well as vacation stays: kayaking, paddleboarding, pedal boats, swimming, cycling, hiking, birdwatching and berry picking in season.

Access : By road

Road access on well-maintained roads; the territory (zone 27-East) borders the ZEC Buteux-Bas-Saguenay. Published GPS coordinates: 48.019295 N, -69.787760 W. On site, Lac Malbaie is at the foot of the cabins; Lac des Irlandais and Lac de la Chicane are under 5 minutes away by car and Lac Antoine and Lac Saint-Firmin a 10-minute walk along well-cleared trails.
