About

Domaine du Lac Brouillard – Auberge Boréale de Charlevoix is an exclusive-rights outfitter perched high in the mountains of Charlevoix, in the Sagard sector between Charlevoix and the Saguenay Fjord, on a game-rich territory of about 1,500 hectares. The fishing is excellent: 14 lakes (13 wild, 1 stocked) full of feisty native brook trout, plus access to salmon fishing on the nearby Petit-Saguenay River. For hunting, the domain is known for its moose harvest (the Mailloux sector at 800 ha and the Bouleaux sector at 900 ha, blinds and salt licks, high success rate), black-bear hunting and small-game hunting (ruffed grouse, hare, partridge). You stay in 9 fully equipped 4-star European-plan chalets overlooking Lac Mailloux or Lac Brouillard, or at the Auberge Boréale, a 4-star forest inn (American plan) with restaurant, bar and Nordic spa that doubles as a snowmobile rest stop and ice-fishing base. Year-round outdoor multi-activities: snowmobiling and BRP off-road experiences (Ski-Doo, Can-Am), canoe, kayak, paddle board, hiking and gourmet experience stays. Winner of the Prix Excellence Tourisme 2025.
