Set in Northern Quebec on tributaries of the Caniapiscau River, Lac Justone Outfitter is dedicated to sport fishing in lightly fished, true wilderness waters. Two fishing sites, operating from mid-June to early September: Facolli Falls (the main camp, American plan with guide and meals) and Hasté Lake (European plan, self-guided). The waters hold landlocked salmon (ouananiche, which can exceed 10 lb), speckled trout (up to 7 lb), lake trout (up to 30 lb) and northern pike (catches over 10 lb are common, sometimes over 20 lb). Camps are fully equipped (lighting, running and hot water, shower, toilet, generator, BBQ, satellite Wi-Fi at the main camp) with large aluminum boats and outboard motors in excellent condition. The outfitter favors fly fishing in fast-water sections and catch-and-release to protect the exceptional quality of the fishery. The base of operations is the town of Fermont (Northern Quebec), reachable by road via Highway 389; Fermont is also served by commercial flights to Wabush airport (YWK), about 33 km away. Round-trip floatplane flight from Fermont (or Labrador City) to the fishing camp (Facolli Falls or Hasté Lake). Wabush airport to floatplane base transfer offered with advance booking.
