Faribault, Pays des Géants

In the heart of the majestic Gaspé forest, surrounded by a national park and two wildlife reserves, Pourvoirie Faribault offers an exclusive experience for moose hunting. Since 1977, the Société d'exploitation des ressources de la Vallée (SERV) has been the sole owner of the Faribault territory, a 4,400-hectare tract of land where only moose hunting is permitted. Two nine-day packages, each for four bow or rifle hunters, are offered, lodging included, with no meal or laundry service; groups are welcomed starting Friday. Lodging is in the main lodge (le Grand Camp) or in one of the eight camps located directly on the hunting territories, all propane-equipped and fitted with a full kitchenette. The protection and hunting ban in Gaspésie national park benefit the territory, which teems with big animals crossing the territorial boundaries.
