About

Established in 1930, Domaine Comporté is a 30 km² exclusive hunting, fishing and resort territory tucked into the Charlevoix region, just minutes from the Mont Grand-Fonds ski centre. Fishing is on Lac Morin and Lac Comporté, both car-accessible and stocked with native brook trout (omble de fontaine), the only species present; electric motors only. The moose-hunting territory, exclusive to the Domaine, is split into 2 sectors of mixed forest fitted with watchtowers and salt licks, with recent success rates of 50% to 85%. Black bear and small game are hunted here too. Lodging is in fully equipped waterfront forest chalets (Vital, Juliette, Martin, Victor), with dock, boat and a private outdoor fire pit, sleeping 2 to 9 people, heated by wood stove and powered by solar energy. Packages are European plan (no meals). Family packages are also offered.

Access : By road

Road access (gravel road on the final stretch). From La Malbaie, follow Route 138, then turn left onto the La Malbaie bridge toward chemin de la Vallée and drive 1 km. Turn right onto chemin des Loisirs toward Mont Grand-Fonds; at the end of chemin des Loisirs, drive 5 km on the gravel road to the Domaine's main reception. GPS: 47.808059, -70.110373.
