Club Brunet

About
Pourvoirie Club Brunet sits on the shore of the Baskatong reservoir, on the border between the Outaouais and the Laurentians, in the Grand-Remous area. The Brunet family has welcomed vacationers here since 1964, starting out as fishing guides for American visitors before building the vacation site into what it is today. The reservoir, an artificial 413 km² body of water dotted with more than 160 islands and lined with roughly 2,800 km of mostly sandy shoreline, is home to pike, walleye, burbot, sturgeon, lake trout, whitefish and ouananiche (landlocked salmon). The outfitter offers several fully equipped cabins (numbered up to Cabin 12), with electricity, running water, shower, toilet, fridge, stove, microwave and an outdoor fire pit, along the beach, as well as campsites for tents, trailers and RVs, with access to two shared washroom buildings. Five docks and a boat launch serve the marina, where a 16-foot fishing boat with motor, a paddle board or a pontoon boat can be rented. On site: a convenience store, a restaurant, a party tent available for rent, play areas, a laundromat and groomed sandy beaches.

A paddle board is also mentioned as a rental on the Marina page, with no separate rate published. The lake is part of a community wildlife area (founded 1998); a provincial fishing licence is required, sold at reception. Species present in the Baskatong reservoir: pike, walleye, burbot (no vocab slug, omitted from targets), sturgeon, lake trout, whitefish and ouananiche (landlocked salmon).
