Chalets Baie des Plongeurs

Taggart Bay Lodge is a hunting and fishing camp on Lake Kipawa in Quebec, close to the Ontario border. Owned by the Bouthillette family — in the outfitting business for over 70 years — the camp reaches Lake Kipawa from the small village of Laniel, at the mouth of the Kipawa river. Lake Kipawa is one of Canada's best-known waters for trophy walleye, northern pike and lake trout, and is also renowned for smallmouth bass; deep, clean and big, it has more than 1,300 miles of shoreline, thousands of bays and hundreds of islands. On the hunting side, the lodge offers guided spring black bear (over very large territories with careful baiting and a high kill ratio) and moose in the fall. The cabins — rated 5-star and fully equipped for self-catering (full kitchen, hot and cold running water, flush toilet, shower, electric fridge, gas fireplace) — sleep 2 to 10 people and are remodeled regularly. The camp welcomes guests from Canada, the USA and Europe every year.
